Approximately 95,000 sq. ft. of RHEINZINK was used throughout the multi-building complex including 35,000 sq. ft. RHEINZINK 0.8mm/22 gauge Pre-weathered Blue-Gray Double Lock Standing Seam Panels; 50,000 sq. ft. RHEINZINK 0.8mm/22 gauge Pre-weathered Blue-Gray Angled Standing Seam Panels; and 10,000 sq. ft. RHEINZINK Pre-weathered Blue-Gray Interlocking Tile Soffit.
Pterrific Pterodactyl
Fabrication of the flat lock tiles was done by CSI Architectural Metal Inc., Carson, Calif. The Pterodactyl interior design also specified a considerable amount of the flat lock tiles to be used as strategic accents in areas that visually link the interior to the exterior façade.

The underside of the boxes is cut to accommodate an open plan on the main office floor below. The boxes are supported on the steel column grid extended from the parking structure.

Highlighting the façade are Woburn, Mass.-based RHEINZINK America Inc.’s prePATINA blue-grey Flat Lock Tiles. The metal tiles were also used in a low-slope roof application.

The detailing and installation of the Flat Lock panels was as complex and unique as the architecture itself.

Completed in the spring of 2015, the Pterodactyl is perched atop a four-level parking garage that was built in 1998. The structure was designed to anticipate a future building, with steel columns extended above the top floor plate.

Perched atop a lower-level parking structure, the building is a jumble of fractured boxes that jut out at diverse angles, like a child’s origami paper game in process.
Shore Hotel
The project comprises 164 guest rooms in two buildings connected by a bridge. The vision was to use the natural landscape and vibrant urban life to blend the two while taking in the beauty of the sea and embracing the pedestrian activities of the area.

Dowbuilt Is Building Spectacular Residences that Are Endearingly Personal
Ben Rand is Dowbuilt's Regional Principal for Hawaii. He says the company's approach is simple: building relationships and trust is as important as the craftsmanship and creativity that goes into each of their high-end builds.
The project consists of a six-story office building and five-levels of parking. The building also includes training, an exercise facility and a full-service cafeteria. A central park featuring an intricate mix of hardscape, softscape landform treatments and topography creates outdoor meeting spaces for employee gatherings.

designed and built by “Grupo Básica”, a Mexican
company specialized in design, consultancy and
installation of façades.
Comprising a hotel, next-generation cinema, three AAA-level office towers and the 121,750 m2 (1,310,500 ft2) five-level Parque Toreo shopping mall, the complex occupies land adjacent to a new 60 km (37.3 mile) long highway, which joins the north and south of the city, making the Mall and the rest of the complex easily accessible to most of the highincome neighbourhoods in the city’s metropolitan area.

Parque Toreo was designed as a mixed-use complex and as a prime example of this phenomenon of urbanization. The site is located in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, the most developed suburban area with significant commerce to the north of Mexico City.

they were fish scales. This technique of mechanical
union avoids the use of welding, adhesives, sealants
or liquid elements that could fail and stain the façade
by draining them.
