CSI Architectural Metal Scope

CSI Architectural Metal engineered, designed, fabricated, and supplied the complete architectural metal cladding system for both the interior and exterior of the B Grill restaurant.

The project included custom-fabricated architectural wall panels, soffit systems, fascia, corner assemblies, and integrated trim details designed specifically for the airport environment.

CSI developed the panel system, engineering the details to create clean reveals, concealed fastening, and durable construction capable of withstanding the demanding conditions of one of the busiest airports in the world.

The design drawings identify CSI as the supplier of the exterior RHEINZINK PWBG 1.5 mm cladding and the interior 304 2B, 16-gauge stainless steel cladding system.

Materials

Exterior

  • RHEINZINK PWBG
  • 1.5 mm architectural titanium-zinc

  • Precision panel alignment
  • Concealed attachment
  • Integrated corner details
  • Removable service panels
  • Airport-grade durability
  • Simplified installation
  • Long-term maintainability

The engineering package included custom elevations, details, and fabrication drawings prepared by CSI Architectural Metal.

Project Challenges

Construction took place during the COVID-19 pandemic while Los Angeles International Airport remained operational.

Working within an active international airport required:

  • Strict security coordination
  • Limited delivery windows
  • Off-hours installation sequencing
  • Protection of adjacent airport operations
  • Precision fabrication to minimize field modifications
  • Coordination with multiple trades in a confined terminal environment

Despite these challenges, the completed installation achieved the clean architectural appearance envisioned by the design team.

Architectural Features

Your project photographs showcase:

  • Custom exterior RHEINZINK cladding
