PROJECT OVERVIEW

Located along prestigious Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica, The Village at The Seychelles is one of Southern California’s premier luxury mixed-use developments. The project combines upscale condominiums, luxury apartments, retail space, landscaped courtyards, and public gathering areas into a vibrant urban destination only steps from the Pacific Ocean.

The development was the first major residential project constructed on Santa Monica’s Ocean Avenue in nearly two decades and was designed to withstand the demanding coastal environment while presenting a refined contemporary architectural appearance. Approximately 21,000 square feet of architectural zinc panels were incorporated into the façade to provide long-term durability and a timeless aesthetic.

Architectural Metal System

The façade features a custom Reveal Panel System fabricated from RHEINZINK prePATINA Blue-Grey architectural zinc.

Approximately 21,000 square feet of zinc panels were installed to create prominent architectural accents integrated with aluminum composite wall systems.

The resulting façade delivers:

  • crisp contemporary detailing
  • concealed fastening
  • continuous vertical expression
  • exceptional corrosion resistance
  • long service life in an oceanfront climate.

CSI Contribution

Working in coordination with Eberhard SMC, CSI fabricated the architectural zinc panels that define the project’s signature exterior.

Precision fabrication ensured:

  • consistent reveal spacing
  • accurate panel dimensions
  • clean transitions
  • high-quality finish
  • efficient field installation

According to the installer, only minor trim fabrication was completed on site, and the installation progressed smoothly with no significant issues or surprises, reflecting the quality of the prefabricated panel system.

Industry Recognition

The Village has been featured by both RHEINZINK and Building Enclosure Magazine as an example of high-performance architectural zinc used in a demanding coastal environment.

The Building Enclosure article highlights:

  • approximately 21,000 sq. ft. of RHEINZINK Reveal Panels,
  • CSI as the panel fabricator,
  • Eberhard SMC as the installer,
  • and the long-term durability of architectural zinc in marine conditions.
